Glasgow AMRSS model rail show

After the Kilmarnock show was cancelled due to the very bad weather our next outing was to the AMRSS show in Glasgow where we took our new “00” layout Clement Gardens for its first outing. After a few problems with the loading of the van we finally arrived at the SECC where again we encountered a few problems with the assembly which we expected but the guys prevailed and got it up and running for the show. The layout performed as well as expected with the usual teething problems for a new layout being moved for the first time. All weekend it was run using all modern image  rolling stock running as DCC with lights and sound and no major problems were encountered as the weekend progressed. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the club members for there assistance for operating the layout and manning the cash desk all weekend also Martin Walker for the van and driver who helped with the loading and unloading as well
