Perth show report
Show reports
Now that the model rail show at the Dewar centre in Perth is over where we took our “O” gauge layout Dalgarvan Mill for its first outing having dismantled the layout at the beginning of the week and transported it to the centre where having enough personnel to build it ready for the Saturday morning session. All went relative well with the operators learning the layout as we went along on the whole things went very well with one or two problems with stock and also some of the point work but it was all resolved over the weekend. We mostly ran a mixture of B.R. steam and green diesel. The weekend was a success as was usual for the Perth show although the area available was cut back due to the bowling part of the centre now being used as a gym. There was a very good standard of layouts and traders present and a great atmosphere over the full weekend with the usual barbecue on Saturday night. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members who assisted over the weekend and also Martin Walker for the transport
