Clement Gardens
Clement Gardens
Clement Gardens is not based on an actual railway location and is freestyle set in the West of Scotland. It features an older township, well into the realms of regeneration, as can be seen from the tenements being demolished, served by a small station to facilitate the populations commute. Depending on the era being displayed at the time passengers will be served by DMU’s of varying liveries. The junction provides an interface with long haul traffic and a goods link which serves both local industry and through traffic to larger towns beyond the layout. as a result some longer diverted freight units may be seen transiting the are. Part of the regeneration of the area involved the building of a road distribution depot which with some foresight has been provided with a rail link. The traditional employment in the area relied on the Glen Adam distillery on the right of the layout which was served by rail in the “olden days” but now relies totally on the nearby distribution depot to get the amber nectar to the masses
